With these new iPads, my students will utilize iPad applications designed to help students with special needs. With an iPad and structured applications, my students can work on their leveled math and reading skills in a fun and engaging way. This will also allow me to differentiate instruction as needed. Currently I have 35 desktop computers that utilize keyboards and mice. My special needs students do not have the motor or coordination skill to use either. It can be frustrating for them at times, and I would like the option for them to be successful. An iPad will allow each special needs student to work on a touch screen device at their own level.
