This project will help my students get interested in their reading again. The opportunity to read and use new books is exciting and fun for all students. They yearn for new materials and shouldn’t be reading books we all read 20 years ago just because it is a tier 1 school. My students ask me daily for new books and when they have new books available to them they fight or argue over who will get the book first. The opportunity to have more non- fiction text in the classroom will broaden their reading choices and make them better readers and leaders.
