There are not a lot of social studies teachers in a school, so to get the best professional development for my subject is to go to events and collaborate with other teachers. When I go to these events it is important to have a laptop that is light weight and portable, so I can take notes. History doesn't change, but how we teach the students not to repeat it does. Social studies has so many topics and interesting ways to present it. I want to stay at the top of my teaching with new ways of teach old topics. It would be great to attend more professional development with a MacBook Air and case to keep it safe. The adapter will help me save my information.
