I am the chorus teacher in my school. My current Dell laptop is so outdated it is funny. It has no CD drive, it can't play audio (I'm not even kidding), it can't connect the the SmartBoard I have in my classroom....seriously. It is ridiculous. I've tried to get it fixed with no success, and frankly, my program is suffering because of it. I have implemented a makerspace for my STEAM clubs and curricula inside of the choir classroom, so having a good laptop is crucial. This laptop will allow: 1) A full Microsoft Office suite 2) Allow me to use my Smartboard (finally) 3) Allow me to play music using my laptop for class (important for a chorus teacher....) 4) Allow us to CODE in our STEAM classes 5) Allow us to reach our environmental goal of reducing the amount of paperwork in the classroom (I'm trying to shift to online assignments, but am having difficulty because of lack of technology on my part). 6) Allow practice tracks, quizzes, and assignments to be created for all of my classes. 7) Allow for quicker grading of assignment with a functioning computer. Thanks all, I'm just thankful you took the time to read this. I know y'all do so much, but if you can help out, you will help almost have of our middle school this year!
