These magazines have always been a highlight of the day! It is a fun way to introduce different ideas and concepts in science without the textbook. The kids enjoy their personal magazine and can be an active engaged reader when they know they can write in the magazine, annotate, and find interesting parts to debate. These magazines make a difference because students take interest in the new material they are learning about which promotes discussion and debate. The classroom lights up with discussion after we read the articles. Reading the magazine sparks new ideas in the students heads about their further projects, their future areas of study and their pure enjoyment of science!
