We desperately need quality marching equipment that is appropriately sized for our young musicians. Half of our current marching drums were purchased for our school band's participation in the Kennedy Inaugural Parade...yes, the one in 1961! The other equipment is newer but the snare drum carriers do not fit most middle school musicians and the bass drums are much too heavy to be carried safely by our middle school drummers. At our last parade, we had drums fall apart during the parade and students in tears because of the discomfort and weight of their drums and carriers. We can't participate in our community's parades without percussionists! Please help us replace our current drums with quality equipment appropriately sized for our middle school musicians!
