I work with 6th and 7th grade students with cognitive impairments. I have been teaching in this classroom for 15 years and love it. Most of my students are working on a K-3rd grade level with abilities ranging within the room from subject to subject. The majority are bilingual and several speak Spanish as their main language. They are beginning to learn English so translating to them can sometimes be challenging as I do not speak Spanish.
