Our school is not a 1:1 and school and therefore must rely on their own devices in teh classroom. The Samsung - Galaxy tablets will allow students who do not have BYOD (bring your own device) technology to participate in vital classroom activities as well as allow them to explore digital tools and resources. Tablets are a necessary resource for many students in the classroom because it greatly expands the possibilities for instruction and learning. Students utilize technology almost daily in my classroom for: reading e-books/audiobooks (of course), grammar practice (khan academy or NoRedInk.com), vocabulary, webquests, google classroom, Kahoot reviews, creating content (Prezi, sway, powerpoint, etc ), access the class website, and other important activities that require a device.
