We have old whiteboards that are really just white, laminated paperboard. They are stained and difficult to read. My students come to the board to write and solve problems on it, but I'd like to be able to use the boards in expanded ways. I need 2 new 4' x 8' magnetic whiteboards to better enable my students to use manipulatives and further deepen their understanding of math. Magnets on the boards, with students names on them would be easier to move than post-its, which often leave adhesive on the board. We could much more easily explore statistics, probability, problem-solving, fractions, and geometry if we had magnetic boards.
