Reading takes us places. One day we might be scientists in the rainforest studying Poison Dart Frogs and another day explorers landing on the moon. Whatever the adventure, reading is an essential way to end up there. Comfortable seating in our classroom library will enhance and entice my young readers to sit down with a good book! Literacy is an essential part of learning. We read in all areas of education and life. My little friends love to read the books in our classroom library. They also love reading to our stuffed animal reading buddies! Having a cozy place to sit and read will surly help persuade my students that reading is truly amazing and can take them on many adventures. Teaching my students to be life-long learners, readers and leaders is not an easy task, but is an exciting journey! Funding this project will help my young, impressionable students to become independent, self-motivated future citizens who have a passion for reading.
