A portable whiteboard is a great tool for small group activities. Twice a week students participate in collaborative inquiry groups specific to their core classes. In the AVID tutorial groups students bring a point of confusion from science, math, language arts or social studies. The group works toward the Ah-Ha moments through questioning. Often students are without earbuds and this hinders the level engagement for their individualized lesson. The earbuds would allow students to block out distractions and concentrate on the lesson that was created for them.
