As a first year teacher, there is a lot of needs in my classroom for my students to have a greater academic performance. They have been having to sit on the cold and hard floor during whole group instruction due to a lack of carpet; which is an obstacle to be fully attentive and participative as they keep trying to sit comfortably. Students' academics will be positively impacted by having a carpet and the following materials. Having access to white boards will help my students to be more actively engaged in their learning and receive better individualized instruction as they are a great tool for immediate feedback and assessment. Furthermore, magnetic letters will make language arts more fun and hands on. The PowerClix Frames will be a great tool for indoor recess and/or STEM station. The timers will also be of great help as they are working in fluency.
