In order to ensure that I meet the needs of each of my students individually, I need to teach in small groups. While I am working with a small group on a specific skill, my other students are completing activities that are engaging, enriching and reinforce previously learned material. Research based computer programs that focus on literacy and math skills at their individual level are vital for mastery. They also are proven to show growth in student achievement, in addition to being engaging and making my students excited about learning! There are simply not enough computers in my classroom to give an adequate amount of time for each student to go on the suggested amount of time each week. Laptops are a less expensive alternative to iPads. With the laptops I am requesting, my students will be exposed to programs like Microsoft Word, Google Slides and more.
