I have a number of different Vernier sensors, such as pH probes, conductivity probes, gas pressure sensors, temperature probes, and mineral sensors; however, we do not currently have the interface to collect data from this lab equipment. Collecting data in my classroom has been the hallmark of good, scientific practices, and I want my students to be able to collect data that means something to them. With the most recent pandemic, the importance of data has never been clearer, and I want to give my students the ability to collect data ranging from pH measurements in the water they swim in, the dissolved ion content of the water they drink, to how the food they eat is affected by temperature and how much gas is generated from chemical reactions in their food.
