These materials will help my students self-regulate and give me additional tools to support them! My students have all experienced severe trauma and consequently struggle to cope with their emotions. The fidget tools I am hoping to receive help my students stop and think rather than impulsively engage in risk-taking behavior. They also help to calm down students when they are feeling escalated and dysregulated. The books I am hoping to receive will provide me with more activities to engage my students in and help plan my individual therapy. It is important to have multiple options for one on one therapy because every child has different needs. These books will help me meet my students where they are.
