My students live in a low-income/high poverty school district, my students are faced with several challenges both in and out of the classroom. They come from a variety of different economic backgrounds with over 90% of my students receiving free lunch. My students are in a self contained classroom that ranges between 6th and 8th grade. All of my student have multiple disabilities, with 100% of them being non-verbal, and struggle to communicate with the world around them.
