Without a full belly and a clear mind students have difficulty focusing in the classroom. In addition to seeing their counselor, having stress relieving fidgets to help with impulse control and work out some of their anxiety and inner stressors can help them manage the rest of their day. Too often these episodes occur at home before a student arrives at school, or during lunch time, causing them to miss out on eating, or they felt too anxious and upset to eat. Having nutritious snacks available to sustain them for a period of time when breakfast and/or lunch is no longer available at school will help them to feel nourished so they can get back to class and have the focus and energy to be productive in their academics.
