Our school is a Leader in Me school. Leader in Me is the 7 Habits for kids. This system of instilling good principals within children is life changing for our children and their families. Along with teaching the children, Leader In Me also has a family program. A majority of our school is living in poverty. This is a tremendously hard cycle to break, but Leader in Me is a way to inspire our students and their families to create habits that will change their lives. As educators at our school we have such a priceless opportunity to bring these principals to our students. The symposium that Franklin Covey is offering for staff is one effective way to train our teachers and inspire creativity and enthusiasm for the 7 Habits. This symposium will also train our teachers for family involvement, which is key in a child's education and success. If our project is funded our students and their families will continue to learn about and 7 Habits and be inspired to see the greatness within themselves.
