My students are good-hearted, small town kids. The majority of them love fishing, hunting, football and four-wheeler riding in their free time. In my classroom they love reading a novel together as a class and they cannot wait for our weekly library day visits. Due to the fact that we are sharing a campus and classroom with two other schools, we are currently not able to check out books from the library. My students have lost so much this school year. Homes, clothing, social interaction, their 'first day of school', has all been taken from them because of the devastation Tropical Storm Harvey brought to our community. My goal is to bring as many novel reading opportunities into our temporary classroom as I possibly can by bringing the library to them.
