I am wanting my kindergarten students to have lab coats for the science lab to help get them engaged and excited about science! My students come from low economic backgrounds where most of the time there is not much of a push at home for these students to excel in science, let alone work toward a possible career in a science field one day. We go to the science lab weekly and my hope is that by getting them excited about science and letting them really get the feel of being a scientist while wearing their lab coats, that they will envision themselves as scientists and instill a love for learning about science now in Kinder that they will carry with them the rest of their academic careers.

About my class
