My students come from many backgrounds with many cultural differences, however, they all come to school for the same reasons. The students come to school for an engaging education as well as guidance through everyday life. As teachers it is our duty to get these students future and career ready. In order for the students to be successful and ready for their future and career they must learn to be organized, independent, and advocates for theirselves. In my cart I have included supplies to help the students become better organized and less dependent on the teacher, me. As the students become more independent they will learn to self-advocate. Aside from the lack of resources to help the students with independence and organization, we also lack math supplies as well as everyday supplies from notebooks to hand sanitizer. So, I am also including the everyday supplies needed as well as the necessities to teach my 8th grade math class. With the supplies in my cart the students would be given the opportunity to experience more hands-on activities allowing for discovery and more engaged students. The goal is to have the students reach their highest potential in all aspects of their lives from the academics to the social-emotional aspects.
