When was the last time a song got stuck in your head? That's exactly what happens when kids listen to Flocabulary. These songs, mostly fast paced rap-type songs, have catchy lyrics that explain almost anything and everything with reading, writing, as well as math or science. From understanding the genres of books to the five things authors use in their writing, students are able to grasp concepts that can otherwise be difficult to understand, not to mention boring to learn about! Flocabulary makes learning fun and gets kids singing (or rapping!) along with the lyrics! Whether using these songs and lessons as ways to introduce a lesson or review a concept, students are engaged and can't wait for the next rap they learn! When I hear a student rapping in the hallway, I don't want to tell them to be quiet because they learned the song in my classroom earlier in the day!
