I am requesting 30 subscriptions to Scholastic News. It will empower my students to learn about current events, teach them tolerance, and improve their reading comprehension skills. Scholastic News is a great way for students to stay up to date on important information happening around the world, while also supporting their progress in reading skills. This subscription will provide my students with an engaging opportunity to reinforce vocabulary and improve their comprehension strategies. What a great way to also teach about tolerance and acceptance. Scholastic News will give the students the text material they need to become informed about the atrocities as well as the good deeds that humans have inspired around the globe. This material can provide my students with the jumping off point for informative classroom debates, interactive role playing, letter writing to government officials, as well as meaningfull conversation points with their peers. Creating a more informed student body who cares about the real issues in our world and thus becoming the future leaders of America. With your support, you can help my students deepen their knowledge with topics such as Global awareness, diverse cultures, and other important current events. My students have the will, desire, and the intelligence to be able to change the world.
