The use of sensory materials is essential to develop and improve the learning of students that have Autism. With a constant need to move their hands, students love to play with sand, and learn with blocks. Low lighting with lamps gives a better atmosphere instead of bright lights. A toaster oven will increase life skills of learning to cook and follow a recipe, allowing the class to build and create. By donating to our very special classroom, you will not only help to improve student attention and provide and output/input for sensory needs, you will ultimately help to increase their academic achievement and help build life skills that will last into their adult lives.
