My students are very social and we collaborate regularly throughout the school day. I use this to everyone's advantage and include morning meetings in our daily routine. During our morning meetings, we incorporate real-world skills. The calendar math center will give my students an opportunity to solve various types of real-world math problems with their peers and engage in meaningful conversations. This allows my students and I to build relationships while involving learning in the process. In addition, the calendar math center provides hands-on activities! I know my students will absolutely love this calendar to be a part of our daily schedule. Also, I'm requesting some wobble cushions as an option for flexible seating for the students with attention issues. These wobble cushions will allow them to sit during morning meetings and wobble without disturbing the rest of the students.
