The students in my preschool speech therapy clinic have been diagnosed with profound to severe phonological speech disorders, &/or expressive/receptive/pragmatic language disorders. Their speech intelligibility is low, which can cause frustration to both the speaker & listener. My goal is to help them become more understandable communicators before entering Kindergarten. I believe in early intervention & I want my students to learn and be heard. Learning can be fun! I use theme based curriculum to increase motivation & participation. The items I am requesting are for my ocean & sea life theme. Most of my students are 3 or 4 years old. They are full of wonder & excitement when interested in the theme. The materials I am requesting will assist me in my goal of increasing their speech & language skills. They will be eager to learn.
