Unfortunately, our school was hit by Hurricane Harvey and this horrendous disaster has compromised the learning environment for our students. Integrating technology, such as tablets, will help to get students back on track through engaging curriculum and hands-on activities. Having technology would provide a gateway for more opportunities so our students will be successful and gain the necessary skills within STEM oriented fields. Currently, we do not have the resources available to use the latest technology to accomplish daily objectives. As a result, students have become disengaged with traditional forms of teaching. Tablets will allow for more research and engaging activities that focus primarily in learning about aerospace science. Activities we hope to explore include: creating 3D models of aircraft, learning dynamics of flight, and communicating with NASA specialists about careers in the field of aerospace science.
