Kindergarten lays the foundation for future learning. In Kindergarten we not only teach academics but we also help foster a sense of purpose with in a child's community. Whole group learning as well as cooperative learning teach communication skills and build our school community. Our floor time on the rug brings us closer together. Throughout the day we will gather as we dive into the math, literacy, science, and social studies curriculum. Our classroom carpet will be a comfortable place for learning. Rotating between the desks and carpet throughout the school day will keep my students' minds feeling safe, alert, and ready to learn.
