A big part of the school day is spent on center time. During this time my students work with a partner on reading or math skills while I pull groups for differentiated instruction. Your donation will improve my students with two of the most important subjects - reading and math. The leveled books I am requesting will be displayed in my classroom library. During Daily Five time the students read to self and read with partners. They love to dive into new and exciting books. It is so important that children have books at their level so that they can gain confidence. The math centers I am requesting will help them master Common Core math. The addition and subtraction centers will help the students practice explaining their thinking, which they will have to do on the AzMerit test starting next year. The place value equivalency puzzles and number sense center will also keep my students engaged and help them practice very important math topics.
