I am requesting a class set of bouncy bands. Bouncy bands provide an outlet for students to move, bounce, tap, and stretch their legs all whilst staying seated in their desks. My third graders are full of energy and excitement! This makes it difficult for them to stay seated and pay attention. This not only distracts themselves from learning, but also can distract other students. I borrowed a bouncy band from our school guidance office to use with a particular student and I have already been able to see the positive influence it has had. I believe that my entire class would benefit from being able to exert this built up energy while still being attentive.
