My kiddos come from backgrounds without regular access to technology. They need a document camera in the classroom to better assist them with multiple tasks, icluding engaging in interactive learning. My students love using the website "Kahoot!" and we use it a lot for review of material. With 11 students and only 1 iPad in the classroom, we are currently unable to adequately use this, and other, websites. These are vital tools to help our special needs students practice and retain information. Some of my students also use tablets to communicate, from my non-verbal kiddos choosing picture options, or my other students typing their thoughts and ideas, to taking quizzes and completing activities on Spelling City.
