It is important in my class to let my students be little. If we push our younger students to learn in a way that is not appropriate for their age, they will have a harder time holding on to the concepts I am presenting to them. Research shows that young students (kindergarten age) thrive on hands on learning as well as exposure to many sensory activities. A great sensory activities for these little learners is Play Doh. These Play Doh activity centers will engage my students sensory learning and will take their joy and excitement to a higher level. They can learn letters, make words, and explore many math concepts all while engaging the sensory part of their brain.
