My students love to create and build things. The materials requested will help them to learn the basics of physics and also allow them to create projects that relate physics to everyday life. Examples of real-world projects is the electric house project. In this project, students will construct a miniature electric house and attach wires in series and parallel. They will apply what they learn about series and parallel circuits. The final project will have lights that turn on and off, by using a switch. Another project is the car crash safety project. In this project, students will learn about impulse and momentum and create a "crumple zone" which we will test with a lab cart.
