The Dell Chromebook will be utilized as a teaching tool in order to not tie myself or any teacher to the board during instruction. The use of a mirroring device will increase student engagement and reinforce student expectations during the lesson. For example, during direct instruction, the teacher may be walking around "taking notes" on the front board, while students engage in writing in their own notebooks. Also, students can engage with the examples provided on the board by annotating from their seats, provided the Chromebook with mirroring/casting installed. Student engagement naturally increases with the presence of the teacher walking around during instruction.
