This project will provide more seating options within our classroom! Not all students can sit still in the traditional desk and chair. I would like to provide them with the option of choosing a seat that allows them a comfortable area to focus on academics. Studies have shown that flexible seating results in increased engagement and higher academic performance. Providing options such as, wobble chairs, bean bags and reading pillows will allow my students to choose a spot that best fits their needs. The implementation of flexible seating also reduces behavior issues in the classroom. Students are able to have more personal space and less likely to be distracted during lessons.
