My kids love to read and they like to spread out in my classroom while in Reading Workshop. I love that they are engaged and immersed in reading already so early in the school year. I would love to give them new books to continue to spark their new found love of reading. Literary books like "The Playbook", "Ox-Cart Man" and "Crash" will definitely keep their spark of reading lit. Informational books such as "The Inventor's Secret What Thomas Edison Told Henry Ford", "Who Was Charles Darwin?" and "Older Than Dirt: A Wild But True History Of The Earth" will expand their thoughts on how nonfiction books can be a viable choice of what to read! It would be nice to give my students a choice of where to sit in the classroom. My only existing options are sitting at their desks, at two tables or on the hard tile floor. If I was able to offer vinyl bean bags or a stool as seating choices, many of my students would work very hard to be able to use these seating options!
