These materials will enhance the science and social studies learning in my class in many ways. Students who are able to put their hands on the content, rather than just read about it, retain information and are more likely to use it in the future. My class has many innovative young girls who need exciting ways to break into the scientific world where they are largely underrepresented. By giving students an opportunity to engineer in a cooperative group setting, they not only learn to work as a team, they have fun doing it! This project will prepare my students for the real world in ways that I wouldn't be able to do without the materials.

About my class
