Kindergarten is such a special time for many children. It's where life long skills are learned. The district that I teach in is low income/high poverty. For many of my students, it is their very first school experience. Therefore, I try to make learning fun through hands-on center based learning, art investigations, morning meetings, and music and movement. My students come in every morning looking forward to our morning meeting, which we conduct while sitting in a circle so we are all looking at one another. We are a family of learners. During our daily centers, students are able to work cooperatively with others with different learning modalities and backgrounds. Everyday is a new adventure in Kindergarten!
