This year I have a wonderful and very energetic group of first graders. I have noticed that for some of the students they are having challenges working together. However, what I have noticed is that when they are standing next to each other (and moving) they are more on task and tolerate each other. Therefore, it is my mission to get a standing desk into our classroom so that students who prefer to stand, can work together and feel satisfaction at completing their work. When I recently learned about standing desks I knew this was perfect for my students. This will be an awesome school year!
