Picture being told that you have to sit in a hard plastic seat for several hours at a time, could you do it? It can be very difficult for students to sit at their desks all day long and concentrate on their work. The Bouncy Bands would allow students to move and fidget their legs to give themas outlet for some of their natural energy. Tapping into a resource where they are allowed to do this without disrupting their peers will benefit them. Wiggling while they work, my students would be able to improve concentration and engagement in activities they are working on ultimately resulting in a more in them reaching their fullest potential. The Wobble Cushions and the stability balls would allow students who need a little more movement to be able to accomplish this. When I think about the impact these items can have on my students I imagine a classroom that is humming with the anticipation and excitement of highly engaged students working on their tasks in groups and individually. Having the stools at my small group table would allow my students the flexibility and room to work at our small group table. By incorporating student choice and allowing them to voice where they want to sit while they learn will give them a vested interest in their learning! This is a win-win situation for each student in my classroom. These incredible seating options would allow my students to channel their energy in ways that would not disrupt their peers or the learning environment.
