Flexible seating is critical to enhancing learning across all ages! It gives students the power of choice and allows them to control their environment. This type of seating allows students to analyze their own needs and pick where to work and with whom. Flexible seating also helps their physical health which has been proven to be linked to higher academic performance. By implementing different types of seating that allow my students to wobble, rock, bounce, stand, etc. they are given the flexibility to move around while working and be comfortable at the same time is important. Having wobble seats, stools, comfy chairs, lap desks, lowered tables with cushions, allows them to move but, also stay focused. This optimizes students time learning and minimizes their breaks. Flexible seating will increase on task behavior and deplete excess energy. Please help me get my students the seating they need. Thank You!
