My students need some cozy chairs and cushions for our sensory/calming area in my room. Something that will invite them to cozy up with a good book, or work as an alternate seating spot for kids to work while they have the wiggles. In addition we could always use more sensory objects like wiggle seats, fidget type objects, or hands on learning tools like wiki-sticks, clay, or sand. We also need games and manipulatives to use for math and reading times to keep out brains busy when all of our work is finished. Puzzle games that can be used as free play or brain building activities would be awesome to use as incentives to completing work and focusing on difficult tasks. Reading games that the kids enjoy can be hard to come by but a fun way to work reading comprehension into days where we have earned reward time.
