Students will begin by understanding the manipulation of variables by integrating science and real-life application through Ohms' Law. They will be introduced to creating a circuit where the objective is to light up various LED lights. The students will generate an equation to help them predict the necessary components of the circuit. The math will come alive! With their understanding of circuits students will move toward a more advanced integration of math, science and computer programming by creating a schematic of a circuit and program an Arduino micro-controller that will light up an LED based on the temperature reading (hot, normal, cold).
