When students receive explicit teacher modeling it provides students with a clear, multi-sensory model of skills or concepts. A teacher is the person best equipped to provide such a model. A document camera would provide my visual learners with the support they need. A teacher needs the best equipment in order to aid student in success. For my bilingual students with special needs, an interactive kidney table would provide them much needed support in guided reading instruction including sight word acquisition, phonics and the writing skills that they need. This table would enable them to use multi-sensory learning to acquire these skills.
