I teach at a public school in an urban RI city. We have about 1300 9-12th grade students in two houses within the school; a lower house of 9-10th grade students, and an upper house of 11-12th grade students. Our students love sports we have cheerleaders & football players; but we also have many soccer players, tennis players, volleyball players and even golfers. A survey of our hallways will reveal budding mathematicians and environmentalists, chefs and nurses, teachers and architects.
