In this technologically evolving world, my students are at a disadvantage without the resources to support their learning. I want to be able to provide every opportunity for them to compete with students from wealthier districts. Having the same resources available as their more fortunate peers will help to reduce the gap of inequities that currently exist in education. Having graphing calculators in class will allow my students to understand the bigger picture in their math courses. Right now, they are limited to what we can accomplish with paper and pencil. Although this, in itself, doesn't hinder them from learning the material, we just can't get as far in the time that we have. Because of this, they are missing out on information that would better prepare them for college and beyond.
