Access to these new Arduino microcontrollers will expose them to possible interests in different career paths in Science, Technology, Engineering and Math. Students will be using Art and Creativity in conjunction with Math, Computer Science, and Technology. With these new Arduino kits, we can encourage new confidence in these areas and encourage students to take STEM courses as a pathway in high school and college. Many students have never known they had skills in these areas, and never developed confidence in them. This is a growing field, in which women and minorities are underrepresented. If we can expose students at an early age, we can get them interested and on the right path!

About my class
