These books will help build our classroom library so they have more interesting reads to choose from. Students are much more likely to engage with a text that interests them. These books were all suggested by my students. Many of my students don't read for fun, at all; I want to change that. The more a student reads, the better they are at both reading and writing. I want my students to be able to read for both pleasure and understanding, especially in this world where they are bombarded by information. And I also want them to able to communicate their wants and needs in writing, something all adults have to do at some point.
