For this project, I am requesting blackout curtains for my classroom. A few years ago, our building was renovated. We got beuatiful new windows and rolling shades. Unfortunately, the shades block very little light. For the last few years, I have been taping black butcher paper over the windows whenever I've wanted to show a PowerPoint or video clip. It's ugly, and it can't be put up and taken down quickly. Without a way to make the room darker, students simply can't see what is being projected onto the screen. Having a projector in the room is awesome--I love the technology. But it doesn't do much good if we can't get the room dark enough.
