As many of you already know, the reopening plans for schools this Fall have been constantly changing and there continues to be an air of uncertainty and fear around what school will look like. In the likely event that we will need to be in the classroom teaching, even for just a portion of the week or a portion of our students, we must do everything we can to create a safe environment for our 5th graders. Many families feel safer keeping their kids at home to learn, but that isn't an option for so many parents who work full-time or are otherwise unable to have their child stay home. Those students deserve our best efforts to keep them safe and cared for. Right now that means fundraising to buy: an air purifier, masks, and cleaning supplies. Funding was recently cut so teachers have even less financial resources to support our classrooms this year. Our students need us more now than they ever have before. I know many people are also experiencing financial hardship at this time. If 164 people donated only $5, we would reach our goal. Thank you for your donations!
